Tri-Cities Tennessee Virginia Market

Lying along the Tennessee-Virginia border and surrounded by the beautiful Appalachian Mountains, the Tri-Cities region offers many of the amenities of larger cities while keeping its small town charm. Making up the Tri-Cities are Johnson City, Kingsport and Bristol. Johnson City, the larger of the three, is home to East Tennessee State University and the Mountain Home Veterans Administration Hospital. Kingsport is known for Eastman Chemical and its companion Holston Army Ammunition Plant. The twin cities of Bristol lie along the Tennessee-Virginia state line with Virginia on one side of State Street through the downtown and Tennessee on the other. Thousands of fans come to Bristol for NASCAR racing at the world’s fastest half mile – Bristol Motor Speedway. The Tri-Cities has a metro 12-plus population of approximately 480,000.
